Call for teaching: ENGAGE.EU Winter School 2026 WU

General information about the Winter School

The ENGAGE.EU Winter School on responsible entrepreneurship is an intensive, two-week winter programme for bachelor’s students from all fields of studies, hosted by WU Vienna from 2 – 13 February 2026

Input will be given by lecturers of at least three ENGAGE.EU partner universities. In line with the general ENGAGE.EU goals, the Winter School aims to equip students with cutting-edge knowledge on entrepreneurship, with a hands-on focus on developing socially impactful and sustainable business models. The students will be guided through different stages of business formation processes and will obtain input from both experienced lecturers in this field and industry practitioners/startup founders. Students will work on their own sustainable startup projects and will have the opportunity to pitch them to an expert jury at the end of the course.

Interdisciplinary academic exchange and intercultural experiences are central elements of the programme. The physical component of the programme will last two weeks in Vienna. The academic programme will be supplemented by company visits and expert talks. Prior to the physical part of the Winter School, an online kick-off session will be organised in preparation for the programme. The language of instruction is English. The maximum number of students accepted in the programme is 45.

Teaching invitation for ENGAGE.EU faculty members

For the ENGAGE.EU Winter School on responsible entrepreneurship, WU Vienna is recruiting members of faculty from ENGAGE.EU partner universities who would be interested in teaching in the programme. Teaching positions are available for one to two days. We invite lecturers to submit proposals for the winter school, particularly focusing on different aspects of the entrepreneurial journey as well as social and responsible business models. In addition, interdisciplinary perspectives that enrich the understanding of entrepreneurial practice, such as legal, marketing, or financial considerations, are welcome.

Remuneration and services

Remuneration lies within the responsibility of the lecturer’s respective home university. Each home university will inform lecturers about potential compensation when sending out the invitation.
