Why apply
This ENGAGE.EU workshop brings together lecturers, researchers, and practitioners working with COIL to explore how online international collaboration can move beyond simple exchange toward meaningful intercultural learning. It focuses on real challenges and practices: preparing students, managing communication across cultures, co-teaching, and evaluating intercultural outcomes.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Present research or practical experiences (paper or poster)
- Take part in discussions on institutional, pedagogical, and intercultural challenges
- Receive feedback from an international network of peers
- Contribute to shaping future COIL research and practice
Who should apply
- Lecturers, researchers, and practitioners with COIL experience
- PhD candidates and early-career researchers are especially encouraged
- Applicants from European University alliances are particularly welcome
- Contributions are open across disciplines (education, social sciences, communication, languages, etc.)
What to submit
- Abstract (max. 300 words, in English) for:
- Paper or poster presentation, or
- Participation as panel speaker/moderator
- Topics include intercultural communication, student preparation, co-teaching, digital collaboration, assessment, and managing communication challenges in COIL
