Generative AI Approaches Across ENGAGE Universities
The analysis of a recent survey revealed that while a number of ENGAGE universities have developed guidelines for the use of generative AI in research and teaching, many are still exploring or drafting their approaches. More detailed results will be presented during the session.
Overall, the survey highlights a growing awareness and proactive stance among ENGAGE universities toward generative AI. While implementation varies across institutions, the collective direction points toward a more structured, inclusive, and ethically grounded integration of AI technologies. Future collaboration within the ENGAGE network could foster shared learning and mutual support around both the possibilities and challenges of using generative AI critically in academic contexts. The session will also explore what ENGAGE universities can learn from each other and how they can support one another in the responsible and strategic use of generative AI.
