ENGAGE.EU Think Tank June 2026: Responsible AI & Society

 This group is for pre-selected UT Capitole Think Tank participants only 

The ENGAGE.EU Think Tanks provides a forum for intensive academic exchange. Researchers will exchange their ideas with colleagues from ENGAGE.EU partners and inform and learn from leading academic, industry and policy experts. Participants can build new research collaborations and launch new projects, papers, or funding applications.

The UT Capitole Think Tank 2026 will bring together researchers from the ENGAGE.EU partner universities who share an interest in research on responsible AI & society from a broad range of disciplines such as political science, public management, sociology, economics, social psychology, business and management, organization studies, accounting, law and finance.

The Think Tank is aimed at exploring the following core research themes and opportunities:

1. Responsible AI : Examine the ethical, legal, and social dimensions involved in the development, regulation, and use of artificial intelligence, notably with reference to the AI Act framework.
2. Fair AI : Investigate the issue of fairness in AI systems:

   How can we ensure that AI operates fairly for all users, regardless of their profiles or usage contexts?

   How are different social groups affected by these systems?

   What mechanisms can strengthen transparency and trust in automated decision-making processes

3. Human-AI interaction and trust
4. Governance and regulation of AI
