Renewable Energy: Impact of ETS2 on the logistic sector

The group is researching on the impact of the extension of the Emission Trading System (so called ETS2) to the logistic sector. More specifically, the group is investigating how the adoption of the ETS2 to, inter alia, the sector of transport may affect strategic decisions to be taken by last-mile delivery operators.

The project is aimed at producing a high-quality research output that: (i) identifies the challenges with the implementation of the ETS2 at a national level, having regard to different EU countries; (ii) improves EU and national level policy debate on benefits vs. costs of ETS2; (iii) provides recommendations for managers of the logistic sector in charge of the strategic decisions.
