Dmytro Zherlitsyn is a Doctor of Economics (DrSc) and Professor (Ukrainian Affiliated), R4 research position at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria. His research applies computational and data-driven methods across several connected lines, among them predictive modelling of markets and commodity prices, financial analytics and FinTech, economic and financial security, energy and green-technology economics, EU digital transformation, and cross-national analysis of European labour markets and social attitudes. He combines econometrics, machine learning, LLM and system-dynamics simulation in Python and R. With over two decades in academia and consulting, he has authored more than 260 publications, supervised several doctoral dissertations, and serves as an IEEE and Academy of Economic Science of Ukraine member, research reviewer, and editorial board member for journals in economics, management, and computer science.
