I give students, teachers and academics the language skills they need to communicate clearly and make connections, building a solid foundation for effective business communication. I believe relationships lie at the heart of business and education, so I teach business communication with a focus on how we use language to create connection and make an impact. As a course coordinator, I am responsible for curriculum development and supporting my teaching colleagues in their delivery of these courses. My research interests focus on the intersection of language, communication, business and higher education and how we can best equip our students for a 21st-century world. My PhD explored students using English as a business lingua franca and their multicultural teamwork, and my current research focus has broadened to look at how we can best teach the communication skills our graduates need.
