Dr. Rim-Sarah Alouane is an associate researcher and legal scholar specializing in constitutional law, anti-discrimination law, human rights and fundamental freedoms, with additional expertise in open science and ethics. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Law from Toulouse Capitole University in France. Her doctoral research examined the practice of reasonable accommodation and the protection of freedom of religion in Canada and France.

Her work has appeared in leading international law and social science journals, as well as prominent policy publications and newspapers, including the Atlantic Council, Brookings Institution, Foreign Policy, and The New York Times. In 2022, she testified before the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom. She was also named to the European Young Leaders Class of 2023 by Friends of Europe.

A frequent public commentator, Alouane regularly appears on television and radio in the United States and internationally, including NPR, Al Jazeera, the BBC, CBC, and France 24. Through her academic research and public engagement, she contributes to global conversations on discrimination, human rights, religious freedom, and contemporary politics.
