Violeta Toncheva-Zlatkova, PhD 

 

Dr. Violeta Toncheva-Zlatkova is a prominent academic affiliated with the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) in Sofia, Bulgaria. She serves as a Chief Assistant Professor in the Public Administration Department. Her academic and teaching work focuses primarily on public administration, management, civil society, NGO management, work with volunteers, youth and social work. 

She has been a lecturer at the Public Administration Department for over 8 years and has over 15 years of experience as an adult trainer; in organizing youth events and trainings. In the last 5 years she has made over 23 publications; she has been a participant in 6 scientific events’ projects and 2 research projects of the UNWE.

Dr. Toncheva-Zlatkova is deeply involved in international collaboration and exchange programs. She was a participant in the international BEESE project; currently she is a key expert in several work packages of the ENGAGE.EU network project. In the last 5 years, she has carried out a number of international Erasmus+ mobilities: in Croatia, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Portugal, Latvia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and more. She has delivered workshops on management and administration, emphasizing practical contributions to institutional development and sustainability, volunteer work and youth participation.

In addition to her teaching and workshop activities, Dr. Toncheva-Zlatkova has played an active role in initiatives related to sustainable development. She was a mentor and moderator during the ENGAGE.EU Expedition Week in October 2023, where international teams of students tackled real-world challenges related to sustainable cities. This aligns with her expertise in integrating sustainable practices into planning and management.

Her professional dedication extends beyond the classroom, as she actively fosters intercultural exchanges and promotes creative problem-solving among students and professionals. She is also recognized for her engaging teaching style and her ability to inspire actionable ideas in her fields of expertise.
