Ramon Llull University

Ramon Llull University (URL), a private, non-profit university founded in 1991 and located in Barcelona. The University is home of more than 20,000 students, 1,500 teaching and research staff, and 1,200 administrative and service staff.  

URL is made up of 8 institutions of higher education and research and 1 affiliated centre: IQS, Blanquerna, La Salle, Esade, Faculty of Social Education and Social Work Pere Tarrés, University Institute Observatori de l’Ebre, University Institute of Mental Health Vidal i Barraquer, Borja Institute of Bioethics and ESDi Higher School of Design (affiliated centre). These institutions comprise a wide variety of departments and schools in the fields of engineering, management, international commerce & digital economy, architecture & building engineering, digital engineering, business, law, psychology, education & sport sciences, communication & international relations, health science, mental health, bioethics, chemistry, philosophy, social education & social work.

Small work groups, close relations between students and faculty, and complete mastery of new technologies represent this university’s unique methodology. At URL internationalization is seen as key to educational programs for future professionals. On the other hand, one of URL’s priority is to foment innovation through research and promote transfer knowledge to be able to respond to the main challenges the society faces today.
