* passionate about using data and data science (Simulation, Optimisation, AI) for making this world a better place. My focus is on:
- reducing hunger in the world (with our fantastic team at the Zero Hunger Lab; Tilburg University)
- reducing CO2 emissions in transport and supply chains (mostly via BlueRock Logistics and Bottomline)
- identifying coping strategies of refugees (with prof. Conny Rijken)
- working on reducing child poverty in The Netherlands (with prof. Margriet Sitskoorn)
* co-founder of the Zero Hunger Lab at Tilburg University (together with Perry Heijne)
* co-founder of BlueRock Logistics (together with Wouter Lammerse)
* two times winner of the prestigious Franz Edelman Award (2012 with TNT Express and 2021 with the World Food Programme)
* (co)author of some 40 papers and several books
