I am associate professor at the Department Management at the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU Vienna). My PhD focused on the topic of the interplay of private and professional life, eg the influences of family responsibilities, career fields and gender on career success. Focusing on critical career research is still one important focus and I am co-founder of the Critical Career Network (CCN).

A common thread through my research projects and engagement is the focus on equality, fairness and justice: For more than two decades I have been committed to gender equality and I committed myself to other dimensions of diversity. About five years ago, we have started to focus again on the promotion of women – and last year (2022) I published together with a colleague an anthology with the title “equality policies revisited” and follow-up volume is already in the works and is scheduled for release in the summer of 2023. Another current research project focuses on inclusion and exclusion mechanisms in alternative organizations. Another project was a longer action research project in which Austrian feminist activists were accompanied. Analyzing metaphors used for discrimination since the first use of the term "glass ceiling" and the contribution is also part of this topic area. Finally, the ten years as chairwoman of the scientific works council and thus also the commitment to good working conditions and fairness in our own area fall into this field.
