Laurence Leveneur is a Senior Lecturer qualified to supervise research in Information and Communication Sciences at the University of Toulouse Capitole. As a member of IDETCOM (Institute of Law, Space, Territories, Culture, and Communication, EA 785), she was also a research associate at the French National Institute of Audiovisual from 2020 to 2022. Her recent work focuses on the communication strategies of French television channels on social digital networks and the analysis of professional trajectories of women hosts and producers of television game shows and varieties. In her work, she employs mixed methods, including quantitative analyses, automated lexical analyses, semi-structured interviews, and conducts research on significant collections of audiovisual archives. She teaches courses on television history, media analysis, semiotic analysis of brands, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Her work has been recognized with several awards, including the Sorbonne Nouvelle Thesis Prize (2007) and Honorable Mentions in the INA Research Award in 2008 and 2023.
