I hold a BA in Political Science and Sociology and a PhD in Sociology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). I am associate professor of Ramon Llull University at the Faculty of Social Education and Social Work Pere Tarrés. In this Faculty I have held several positions, including those of Director of the Master’s Degree Programs and Postgraduate Diplomas Area, Academic Director of the Master Degree in Prevention and Management of Risks within the Community (Ramon Llull University - UAB) and Director of the “Social Education” journal. At this moment, Vice-Dean for Research.

From 2013 to 2023 I’ve been the Chair of the "Women and Science Committee" of the Catalan Interuniversity Council, appointed by the Catalan Government. Since 2010 to 2023 member of the Rectoral Team of Ramon Llull University: Vice-rector for International Relations and Students (2010-2012) and Secretary General (2012-2023). 

My fields of knowledge are adolescence and youth, social exclusion, and gender studies; I have participated in various research projects and has published numerous scientific papers. I have formed part of several Boards, including the Advisory Council of the National Youth Plan from 2010 to 2020 and the Group of Experts of the Strategic Plan for Gender Equality Policies 2019-2022 (both from the Catalan Government). I am Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the UAB.
