Since spring 2022, Michael W. Mueller is a member of the faculty of law and economics at University of Mannheim, Germany, holding a junior professorship for public law with a focus on legal issues of digitalization. Michael studied law and philosophy in Munich and in 2013 earned an Academy Diploma in the Law of the European Union at the European University Institute in Florence. In 2014, he graduated with an LL.M. at the University of Cambridge (Wolfson College). In 2018, after stays at Duke and Harvard Law Schools, he received his doctorate from LMU Munich with a thesis on constitutional issues of financial market stabilization.

 

His current research project examines public spending conditionality as a governance tool in German and European Union administrative law.
