Dr Richard Clements specializes in international law, international criminal law, international organisations, and critical legal theory. His current research studies the relationship between international legal expertise and management expertise in select international institutions, notably the International Criminal Court. He is currently completing the manuscript for his first monograph entitled The Justice Factory: Management Practices and the International Criminal Court due to be published by Cambridge University Press in fall 2023. Richard acquired his PhD from Cambridge University, completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Global Law & Policy, Harvard Law School before coming to Tilburg Law School in February 2021. He currently serves as a Faculty member at IGLP. He is Co-Director of the Global Law LLB, and Co-organiser of the 'International Law & Politics' Collaborative Research Network at the Law & Society Association.
