Inequality refers to the phenomenon of unequal and/or unjust distribution of resources and opportunities among members of a given society. Examples are income inequality, gender inequality, racial economic inequality etc. Research topics can cover gender representation in firms or governance bodies, diversity policies in HR. discrimination and psychological security, education opportunities, macro-economic consequences of global inequality, the impact of inequality on health and wellbeing.
Inequality asks for measures that go beyond one policy area or a single disciplinary approach. As global inequality rises, this is a very urgent societal challenge that asks for cross-disciplinary and international collaboration.
